Create focus questions
- Record observations and data in a science notebook on an ongoing basis (note: record of observations may include drawings, charts, graphs, written observations, etc.)
- State claims supported by evidence
- Justify their claims through logical conclusions
- Measure the speed of an object using a stopwatch
- Measure the distance an object travels using meter sticks
- Measure the height of an incline
- Test the influence of weight, increased incline and surface on distance and speed
- Create a structure designed for a specific goal (for instance, a maze or track that will take an object the longest time to complete)
